Lagos HOMS holds 10th housing draw
The Lagos State Mortgage Board, custodian of Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme recently held its 10th public draw housing draw, bringing the number of winners to over 500.
The draw which usually holds at the Blue Roof, in Ikeja, Lagos was held at Igando Gardens, reputed as one of the biggest schemes under the Lagos HOMS.
The Executive Secretary of the State Mortgage Board, Mr. Akinola Kojo-Sagoe, said that the home mortgage initiative was envisioned by the governor of the state, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, to address the problem of housing deficit in state.
He added that the scheme was to meet the needs of the huge population in the metropolitan state as well as to create wealth.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Implementation and Monitoring Unit, Mr. Suliaman Alabi-Yusuf, who represented the Governor Fashola, said residents of the state should be on the lookout as more schemes would be rolled out in 2015.
